I am currently making a cosplay garment. Lt. DATA , styled as a 1950s female. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and I would really appreciate if you could fill me in on something. I'm wanting to know the angles of the edges of the yellow area of Data's top front(the usual uniform worn). I feel these need to be very precise and identical to the onscreen uniform. I will be happy to send pics of the final project!

I appreciate your perfectionism and can certainly relate.
The asymmetrical front insert changed contours throughout the show, on both the TNG jumpsuits and TNG jackets. (Costume designer Durinda Rice Wood changed some of the TNG jumpsuit detailing in season two, including the asymmetrical front panel. Then costume designer Robert Blackman introduced the new TNG jackets in season 3 and tinkered with both uniform styles from then to the end of the show.)
I'll be going into more detail about this soon in my updated TNG jumpsuit analysis, and my upcoming TNG jacket analysis.
But in short, there is no simple or single answer to your question. It depends on which uniform and season, as well as your own personal preference.

Awesome resource! Could you tackle the TNG dress uniform top (no need on the pants. They’re generally loose fitting stirrup pants). My mom and I designed one and she made a pattern for it, but in her Alzheimer’s-addled years before she passed, she destroyed it. I do remember the attention to detail. Such as how it opens. There is no zipper at the back. It opens along that piping edge that runs from the neck to the right shoulder.
The TNG-era formal uniforms are definitely in the queue! Thanks for the interest and support. 🙂

I would love to sew the TNG women's skant and appreciate that you offer the pattern for free.
I have a normal houshold-size printer at home with which I can print 4x4 pages.
According to your printing instructions, it shows 5x5 though. I miss a reference guide for the size in your PDF document (for example a square showing 4x4 cm or inch) in order to know how large to print the pattern. I haven't seen either which clothing size the skant will be when printed.
As I am not a native speaker, I might have missed out on something. Can you please help?

I believe Adobe Reader may have a feature that adds the alignment grid for printing large pages, but other PDF readers may as well.
The measurements for the finished skant are listed on the blog post where the download link is posted.

The women's size 8 is for a wearer approximately 5'6", and the men's size 42 is for a wearer approximately 5'10". Add or subtract about 1/4" for each of the other sizes.

Do you make any costumes for XL-XXL women or XXXL-XXXXL men (tops)? My husband and I are going on the Star Trek cruise in February and I'm hoping to get some costumes made (Either TNG or DS9 preferred).

Thank you for the interest, but my patterns only include the sizes listed. I suggest contacting Frank Skony on Facebook or Instagram; he occasionally does uniform commissions, and from what I've seen he does excellent work. He may be able to help you. 🙂

Yesterday we (my son and me) purchased the sewing pattern of the men's TNG Jumpsuit. He would like me to sew a costume for him. After purchase, we downloaded the files and here we have a problem and we hope you're able to help.
The pattern is printed on four pages. However, I can't find the scale. We live in the Netherlands and I have only a A4 size paper printer.
Do you have any advise on how to print the proper size? As we live in the Netherlands, we bought the digital file.
If it is not possible to print this on small size paper, would you please be able to tell me what the exact size of the 'Piece S/ Lower front pant facing' on page 1 should be? Maybe I can try to scale the image that way.

It is possible to print the pages yourself and tile them, using the "poster" function in Adobe Reader.
I'm so impressed by the years of work you've put into researching/analyzing and creating the Star Trek costume patterns. I'm going to learn how to sew so I can make one! I do have one question: there are a couple of TNG patterns labeled as Women's, but I don't see any for DS9/Voyager. Does the DS9 jacket (or Voyager tops) work for women? Would I just make it smaller or would that require multiple changes? Thank you for sharing your knowledge over the years!

Women's DS9/VOY-era sewing patterns are in the queue, but it will probably be next year before I get to them. I was able to study and directly pattern off multiple screen-used DS9/VOY-era uniforms, and I'm looking forward to posting all about them ASAP. 🙂
If you're not in a rush, I daresay my upcoming patterns (and corresponding resources) will be well worth the wait. But if you're eager to get started, my older men's patterns go together well enough and can be modified for women's uniforms. There were a few structural differences (such as the women's waistbands being smaller), but they were very similar. Alternatively, Kathy Pillsbury (aka "Katarra8") offers a pattern for the women's jumpsuit. I've never owned or used it, but many years ago I used a couple of her other patterns and they went together fine.
