FABRIC
Off-white, gray, tan, or brown jumbo spandex = 4 yards
The original jumpsuits were actually double-layered; if you wish to accurately replicate the weight and thickness of the screen-used uniforms, you’ll need twice as much fabric yardage.
Division-colored wool gabardine = approximately 5” square
Custom-dyed wool gabardine in TWOK division colors (most of which could also be used for TMP) is available on my Tailors Gone Wild web site:
Black felt = approximately 5″ square
ACCESSORIES, NOTIONS, SUPPLIES, etc.
2 spools of off-white, gray, tan, or brown thread
1 spool of black thread
22” off-white, gray, tan, or brown invisible zipper
9 hook-and-eye closures (ideally size 2)
¾ yard of 1” non-roll elastic (optional)
This is for the elastic “stirrups” on the lower pant legs.
One division-colored chest patch
The patches from “Toy Chamber Collectibles” (aka “Poptoys”) on eBay are excellent replicas:
Invisible zipper foot
Piping/zipper/edging foot
“Perscan” device
For this demonstration uniform, I used the 3D print available from “SF_Props”:
Depending on your chosen rank, you may also require some additional jewelry/craft supplies and paints, which I will mention in the “shoulder tabs” portion of the tutorial.
